Our son decided he was going to move the desk that has held my odds and ends of sewing and crafting supplies into his room. It’s a small piece of old Ethan Allen that a neighbor was tossing 15 years ago. Surprisingly, those six little drawers contained an amazing array of items that now covers the top of my farm table. And, it is a reminder of projects waiting to be completed.
Although it isn’t realistic that I will use everything before this mess needs to be cleared out of the dining area, over the weekend a few were turned into usable objects. With a glue gun, always a challenge for me, I made nine flowers and a cinnamon stick adorned candle holder.
A long spiral of wired and gathered paper became these flowers:
A salsa jar, cinnamon sticks, burlap, twine and one of those little flowers is now a candle holder.
The next project is to organized those bits and pieces still lying on the table!
